Dear Jeremy! My name is Aleksandra and I am a PhD student of Comparative Literature Department at the Fu Jen University (Taiwan). Currently I work on a paper concerning Russian travel accounts to Taiwan. Therefore I will be very grateful if you could share more about Vavilov’s trip to Taiwan. By the way, what are the source of these photographies? And why do you write that he gave his speech at the Taiwan University, while he writes in Russian that it was Tainan University?
It would be great if the titles of photographs, of photograph locations and obvious species, could be listed here even if it is difficult to upload all of the actual photographs.
I am interested in scenes that might show wild or cultivated taro in Taiwan.
