There is not yet any discussion of Vavilov&#039;s (1922) classic paper about &quot;the Law on homologous series in variation&quot; J. Genetics vol. 12(1) pp. 47-90 at this site.  He is bound to have developed some of the ideas for this  paper during his travels...

Unfortunately, the impressive colour plate illustrating the similarities in the series of variation found in seeds of lentils (Lens culinaris Medicus) and  those of common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) has only been reproduced in black and white.</description>
